Last day of school....

18 november...the last day of school for all primary school pupils. Usually I'll be sooo extremely happy that school is over, but this time, I wish that we had a month (or more) of school waiting for us. I didn't even want the holidays to come...cos it would mean that soon, all of us will be scattered, and I'll probably never, ever be able to see my whole class together ever again. I felt so sad..i wanted to cry..but the tears wouldn't come, and I didn't want to cry anyway. When 9.30 came and it was time to go home, everyone was so frantic. Autograph books and cameras were taken out for last minute autographs and photos. I didn't bring my camera!! Boo-hoo...but the scene was very funny..everyone was like just so anxious to get their friend's autograph. And, I hadn't forgotten the letter that I had given to **, so I when I saw him (or her, i'll just write "he" cos he is more general), I had to run after him. Apparently, he had a reply, and he was just leaving like that without giving it to me!! How could he forget!? So i had to wait down there, with his little brother staring at me with these big, innocent eyes..very cute leh..lol. After that, I rushed back, and wrote some autograph books, and then I went home...so that was how the last day of school ended..although the last time I would really see the whole of 6A together will be on the 24 of November, tomorrow..wish you all good luck and do keep in touch!! Tell you all about prize giving next time..I got to go le!! going out...:P.

SparkC camp (part 2)

Hey!! Here's the rest of the SparkC camp days...

Day 2...
Woke up rather early..cos the girls in my tent (Valerie, Michelle (cheong) and Debbie) are rather kiasu..wanted to make sure they had places to shower and all that...They had a bit of trouble waking me up, but that was because I didn't want to wake up at first. Hehheh :D. Michelle Cheong woke up herself, and she told me that she could hear Debs and Val's discussion about waking she and I up. Well...to tell you the truth people..I was already up..and I could also hear your discussion CLEARLY. Hahaha..sorry for making you go through the trouble of waking me up. :P We went to brush our teeth and all, but we didn't shower. The water was too cold. We arrived at the "Galaxy" right on the dot. THen we had to proceed to the "Milky Way" for a flag raising...and their flag raising is literally flag raising. Alan and Shenghao and Jordy did the flag raising..and the one who was raising the Singapore flag actually dropped
the flag by a bit!! An OFFENCE!! HAH boys..shows how GOOOOD you are. But whatever..it was still OK...MUCH better than the exercises we did next. I was so hungry and just wanted to eat my breakfast, but they made us go through sooo many exercises first!! But to be fair, we weren't really that co-operative. So after some time, we had our breakfast. Then we were supposed to go for the CRC (challenge ropes course). From the bottom, it didn't really look very high, but Wilfred told us it was about 7 metres off the ground. And when I got up there, I knew it was going to be a completely different story. I was sooooo extremely absolutely scared!! I am afraid of heights anyway. I managed to complete the first part without much fuss, but when I got to the walking on the boulder that part, I faltered. I didn't dare to even step onto the boulder. There wasn't even a support to cling onto leh!! (although some others did find a support..they clung onto the ladders, the ropes that were behind them..hmph!) But in the end, those idiotic boys kept on whining at me to hurry up, so I took a DEEP breath in and started walking. My legs were really trembling, and I was afraid to fall (although I knew if I fell I would still be safe). But I still managed. The tarzan swing was fun, but I was quite afraid to step onto the rope at first..cos what if I did fall? I would just be dangling in the air at a height...!!! But I managed to overcome my fear of heights and arrived safe and sound on the ground (at last). After everyone had completed the CRC, we went to practice our campfire item. Nobody could come up with a good idea, so we went for lunch- where Wilfred showed us this dance, which we all agreed to do for the campfire. But we still had to come up with a cheer. After some discussion...our cheer ended up like...
Ryan- gimme a C!
Rest- C!
Ryan- gimme a R!
Rest- R!
Ryan- gimme a U!
Rest- U!
Ryan- gimme an X!
Rest- X!
All-C,R,U,X! CRUX!
Then, after our cheer came a song- which we sang to the tune of the chorus of our school song
We are Crux, We are Crux, We are Crux, We are Crux, We are Creative, Responsible, United and Extreme!
after all this would be our dance...
And so, after lunch, we went tunnelling. Miss Hayati and Mr Yeo also went, but they were the last 2 to go in. The tunnel was pitch black, and the only light was from the light sticks that the front and back person held. I was the front person, and behind me was Michelle, followed by Melissa, then Valerie, and lastly, Debbie. I had to crawl in through a hole to get in to the tunnel. I wasn't sure how to climb in, and i ended up going inside with an awkward position. We had to crawl along the tunnel. It was really hot, dark and stuffy. After much crawling and yelps and mutters of "hot!", we came out to a more open place which was full of balls. We got through that and came to poles. We got lost in all the poles, and that's where we took the msot time. We had found our clues, but we didn't know how to get out. Finally, we came out of those dreaded poles, and I was like a fountain, sweating from head to toe. We crawled up and down and into and out of some kind of net stuff and finally, after we picked up all the clues, we came to the exit. But, bad news, the other group behind us had caught up, we could hear their voices! We frantically punched the code into the door and we were greeted by the boys, who had parked themselves by the door, waiting for us to come out. They scared us, and I knew I screamed the loudest. So? After my group came out, they slammed the door into the other group's face, and let them punch the code in. The other group knew the code, so they came out, closely followed by Miss Hayati and Mr Yeo. The 2 of them had tried to come out with the other group, but the boys were too fast. BAM! they slammed the door in their faces again. But Miss Hayati and Mr Yeo managed to come out. How sad...:P. After the tunelling, we went rafting. My group (Crux) was to compete against Cygnus. Cygnus also consisted of a lot of 6A people, including that shameless fish, Jianghan. Our group went away to discuss who was to row the first part, the second and the third part. We took quite a while, and Cygnus kept on asking us to hurry up. But in the end, we won, and my throat was sore because of the cheering. hehhehheh. Cygnus was still in the sea when we had reached the shore the third time..and u noe something? Jianghan fell into the water!! Hehe..maybe he misses his home too much. But..congrats to Crux..real happy and cheers to Cygnus as well. I think we all did our best. We had fun in the sea for a while, then went to shower. All of us had to get ready for the campfire. We practiced our item one last time..it wasn't so successful, cos we kept on adding more things to make it "fancy" but it ended up making everyone confused, and when we did the real thing, our dance was really messy. But it was great fun watching the others. We saw Mrs Lim's daughter as well, she was really cute. After the campfire, we went for our supper, which was milo and biscuits again. We slept in the tree hut that night. I was in PLuto..so sad..I was really FAR AWAY from all the rest..sobx..there wasn't a person whom I knew in Pluto..i mean..I know their names, but I'm not close to them. Luckily Val saved my life. She was in the same hut as me..we went through the tough time together..hehheh.:D It was real cold that night..I was shivering when Val woke me up to go to the toilet....brrrrrrr..!
Day 3...
Woke up shivering. It was just so cold!! Man, one day so hot and then one day so cold. Val and I went to wash-up and brush our teeth once we had woken up. We met up with Mich, Debs and Melissa and also saw some of the other 6A girls from Cygnus. Around 7.30, we went for flag raising and did more exercises before having breakfast. Today, the last activity that we had to do was to build a sandcastle. The group which built the nicest sandcastle would win. They provided materials for us...and away we went! My group took a real long time to think about what we wanted to build. We thought we had already taken a lot of time discussing, and we were going to waste our 1 hour and 10 mins away, so we all started heaving and piling sand into one big pile. Never would we guess that that huge pile of sand would give us an inspiration. While other groups were just building sandcastles from all the materials provided, my group decided on something so different I wondered where ideas came from. We decided to build turtles and on the biggest turtle, We put our sandcastle on its shell. We engraved the word CRUX and TURTLE KINGDOM in the sand and decorated it with stones and other colourful stuff. In the end, CRUX won the sandcastle building competition. We also won the campfire performance competition. :D:D Boy were we happy. Soon, it was time for us to leave, and we all walked out with fond memories of the time we spent at OBS SparkC.

Camp days

7 November
The first day of our SparkC camp. There was a lot of talk and murmuring in the hall..about bags and what-did-you-bring-and-what-did-you-miss-out that kind of thing. When we got on the bus, my bag couldn't fit onto the floor..it was too big and bulgy (hehheh) so I had to put it onto my lap..I daresay Meiying was uite uncomfortable, cos part of the bag also landed onto her lap. :P:P...anyway, we got to SparkC without much fuss and had that kind of briefing stuff. I was sorted out into the group CRUX, and my trainer was WILFRED. He looked like those kind of nice jock, and he had a rather "long" tooth. Most of my group consisted of 6A people. There were Michelle.c, Debbie, Valerie,Si Qing,Tian Hoe, Sheng Hao, Ren Hao, Ryan, Jordy and Alan from 6Aand 2 other boys and 4 other girls form other classes. Wilfred talked some stuff to us, demanded (not really demanded la) our wallets from us, then sent us changing into shorts. Then we had a tour round the camp. Pretty nice and clean. Then, we went to the "storage room" (??) to get our harness and helmet and blankets and the tent bags. Wilfred showed us how to pitch the tents and we had to pitch the tents before going to eat lunch. Pitching the tent was so much easier compared to the time at the p5 camp. Just click the hook here and click the hook there and you're done!! Hehheh..we could have our lunch now...
After lunch, we were supposed to do rock climcing, but we had to go through "belaying school" first. We had about almost and hour of practice, then we came to the real thing. I was the IC for the day, so I kena the first person to go up the rock wall. But before that, we had to set our goals first-how high we wanted to climb the rock wall..well, I set foot with only 3 blocks, but after much sweat and toil (??), I managed to climb the whole wall. :D:D I guess I could not have done it without the help of Miss Hayati shouting down there, cheering and telling me where to step on..and the encouragement from my friends below. Thanks so much people!! When I came down, my arms felt sooo extremely tired and I could hardly lift them to write down what i had achieved. I then sat down and watched others going up the rock wall. Everyone was trying their best, and quite a number went up to the top!! Congrats~!! hehheh...after everyone finished climcing the wall, we were sent to shower. Mich, Debs, Val, a girl called Melissa and I went to the farmost toilet. There, each of them booked the cleanest cubicle for themself, and I had to make do with a not-as-clean one. But it ended okay. We showered and had our dinner. Then our whole group played ice and water. The boys kept on cheating and the game ended up as a never-ending game. Haiz, BOYS!! I was really sweating after the game, and I was so glad Wilfred had chosen to sit at a place with wind ot play some games with us. The games were quite fun and when it was around 9, we all went to have our supper, which was biscuits and milo.Dippping the biscuits into the milo...the supper turned out nice!! Well, with that done, we brushed our teeth and prepared for a night in the tent. It was REALLY warm and stuffy in the tent, and I tried closing my eyes and sleeping, but inside, I was really wondering how on earth was I going to sleep. But in the end, I DID sleep, thank GOD. BUt I was woken up at around 1 plus by the others as they wanted to go toilet..so I dragged and lugged to the toilet with them. When we got back, I struggled to sleep again. Soon, it was time to wake up....(to be continued, now i got to go le..stay tuned hor~~! and i promise it won't be such a long time before i update my blog again..BYE!!

My Chalet Days...part 2

Helloooo!!! Sorry..I know it's like been almost a month since i have last posted...but ah well...here we go!(ps..sorry i noe the dates r a bit lopsided)
20 October
Woke up by my "instinct"...had a good breakfast at the Boardwalk Cafe at the first floor of the club. That cafe didn't open til 10 o'clock, so Emma, my grandma and I just went strolling around until 10 o'clock...lame huh? But as I said, we had a good breakfast..I had nasi lemak and hot chocolate. After breakfast, my grandma went back to the jackpot room and Em and I went for a morning swim. The water was SO EXTREMELY COLD!! I was like shivering and my teeth was like chattering as I swam. I did a couple of laps before I started giving Em some swimming lessns. Well, she DOES know how to swim, but we just did it for the fun of it. And the problem with one part of the pool was that the air surrounding tht part was really stinky and smelt "poisonous". I guess it must have been because of all the constructions that was going on near the pool. YUCK. Around 12 something, we got up from the pool and had a shower and took our lunch at White Sands. I had the japanese foood from the food court. Next we went to fetch Amanda. When we came back to the club, it was already around 4 something, close to 5. We decided to go for the billiard. Em's mum played with us too. At first, I didn't think much of billiard as I couldn't shoot the ball in very well. But as I improved, I started thinking that this was fun. So now...don't look down on me at billiard, people!! We finished around 7 and then went bowling. There, Em and Manda both downed 2 cans of Nescafe each while I had 1 can of nescafe and another can of minute maid. Ahhh...the nescafe was really goooood. We played 3 games, then went back to the room, where we waited for dinner. Dinner was char siew noodles and a chicken wing. After our dinner,we still wanted to bowl, so we went over to the bowling alley. However, it was closed..so, so sad, we had to go back. Amanda went home soon after that, and I plaited Em's hair (again) before we went to bed at around 12 again. Hehheh..sweet dreams...tomorrow last day at the chalet..sobx
19 October
Woke up rather late.... We had a simple breakfast in the chalet, then Em and I went to the computer room. Em played the computer, but I just flipped through the magazines. After all, $1 for 20 minutes, isn't that expensive? When Em got bored after about 40 minutes, she also went through the magazines and she recorded some stuff that she wanted to buy. Then we had lunch and waited for Melanie, Marcus and Darren to come up. This time we just played around in the nursery room. Then Em and Mel quarrelled as usual. THey ALWAYS quarrell at least once when they are together, so this wasn't a surprise. But this one was one of the bad ones. Em cried angry, frustrated tears and Mel purposely ignored her with her head held high. Everyone wasn't in the mood for their quarrells and when Darren pointed that out, Mel got too irritated and walked out. That's the way with Melanie-she justs walks out on everything. So when it was time to get back to the room, I felt like I was stepping into this frosty cave u noe? The tension between Mel and Em was so great. Each made the best effort not to talk to each other. Well...so dinner came and went..and my cousins came and went too. But Em and Mel did make up to each other--through SMSes..they always do that, but I know they each still harbour a disliking for each other. Then, we went to sleep.
21 October
Haix...last day at the chalet...we had another simple breakfast, and yet again, Em and I went to the computer room (while my grandma went to play jackpot) , glad that we had a comfortable, air-conditioned place to be in. But...the air-con had BROKEN DOWN!! Em and I were sooo angry..but what could we do? So we stayed in the room, flipping through magazines yet again..then Em wantec to play the computer. I hesitated, thinking of the cost, then relented, and slot in some coins for myself so that I could play. By that time, we had already checked out, and we were playing when my mum came in. Her marking had ended early. So we prepared to go for lunch at a place called Hong Kong Street 21. The food was real nice. Then I went over to Mel's house for a while (with Em). So unfortunate, Mel was having tuition, and that Marcus was playing (what else?) Maple story, so Em and I had a hard time trying to entertain ourselves. Then, it was time to go home as i had British Council. What a way to end such a happy week!!

Graduation Day

Today was Graduation day. We didn't have to go to school in the morning. We reported at 2 o'clock. Yep, our graduation party was in the afternoon...hai..I dun wanna criticise, but why must it be in the afternoon? And why must it be only 2 and a half hours? Can't it be at night, like from 5.30-9.30? That would be sooo much better. And could more activities be planned? Next time I in alumni, I'll make sure the party is like that...harhharhharh..but really la, I prefer it to be this way. Well, anyway, I went at around 2, and the first thing we did was take a class photo. Before we took the photo, I looked around. The boys were wearing simple clothes, the girls mostly wore skirts. I wore a skirt too :D. Luqman rushed into the photo just in time. He hadn't been in school for some days already. After all the classes had taken their class photograph, we played a game. Each person had to tie a balloon around their leg with a rubber band. Then, when the signal is given, everybody is supposed to go around and try to stamp on other people's balloons, without getting their own balloons burst. This was the same game as me and my ballet friends played when we went to SparkC. So we went around stepping. I hadn't even stepped on anything yet when my balloon flew away. I ran after it, but that stupid Desmond had got it and of course he stepped on it. Idiot boy. So I was eliminated from the game LIKE THAT. how irritating. So I had to sit down and watch other people playing, and soon it got quite boring. The 6A boys kept huddled together in one group, trying to protect themselves..haha, but in the end, most of them still got eliminated. After some time, the game ended and everyone settled down for the class performance. My class (6A), put up a "wushu" performance, which only involved jianghan showing off some wushu skills. Can't say it was much of a class performance. Most of the other performances were just hip hop dances..not much interesting. 6B's fashion show was really nice, I like the cheery "models" as well. hehheh :D. And the drama put up by 6C was great too. After the class performances were over, all the primary sixes held hands and sang "Auld Lang Syne". Then the teachers played some music, and gave us time to dance. Others could take the refreshments if they wanted. I ate some of the snacks, and after staying around and talking with my friends, I went home. It wasn't exactly the ideal graduation party, but I did go through it with my class and my friends - so it was worth it. (sorry if I have offended any of the alumni or the school about my comments on the graduation party)
